Rebels Win Freshmen/Sophomore Tournament!

The Freshmen and Sophomore volleyball players had a great tournament Saturday, October 12 in Mapleton. The Rebels finished 3-1 in pool play losing only to IKM-Manning. They were able to get victories over MVAO, Lawton-Bronson, and Boyer Valley. In tournament play, the Rebels lost the first game to West Monona but came back to win the next two in order to advance to the finals in a rematch vs IKM-Manning. The Rebels lost the first game in finals 13-25, but were able to recover with a victory in game two 25-18. The third game saw the rebels jump out to several early leads 5-1, 11-3, 13-6 before the Wolves staged a big comeback. Eventually taking over the lead and earning their own championship point. The Rebels would not be denied and fought back to tie the game. A couple tough serves from Choquette and a ball handling error on IKM-Manning and the game was ours. The Rebels were led in the final game by Smits-3 Aces, Choquette-2 Aces, Pike-11 Kills, Drees-6 Blocks.
