New School Year Information for 2024-25!

New Calendar and Supply List 2024-25!

 

Welcome to the start of a new school year! Below is information to get you started.
 

Online registration will start on Thursday, August 1st and end on Friday, August 16th. All current Westwood students need to register online via JMC. Before signing in make sure you change the year to 24-25! From there read the Welcome on the home page from the district and follow the instructions listed on the Register for 2024-25 tab on the left hand side of the screen. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the High School or Elementary Secretaries for assistance.

Western Iowa Tech classes (on on-campus and online) will begin Monday, August 21st. This is prior to the start of classes at Westwood. Any student taking a WIT class should meet at the school at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9th. Account information and other information will be given out then.   \

District Fees

Book Fees: $50.00 per student ($37.50 for reduced)

Junior Dance Tickets Advance Sale $40.00 - After January 1 $60.00. (Junior Class Only)

 

Activity Passes

All Seasons: $70 Adult -- $60 55-64 -- Free with pass 65+

Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer Pass: $40

Westwood Students: Free Admission

 

Nutrition Prices

Breakfast & Lunch Meals and all ala carte items and extras will be charged to the students lunch account. To stop charging for ala carte and extra items, contact Rhiannnon Hunt, Nutrition Secretary, at  712-428-3200 or rhunt@wcsdrebels.com.

 

Again for the 24-25 School Year Breakfast will be free for any student and the reduced price for lunches will be waived.

K-6 Student: Breakfast: $1.50 ($0.30 reduced)  Lunch: $2.30 (Reduced $0.40)

7-12 Student Breakfast: $1.60 ($0.30 reduced)  Lunch: $2.45 (Reduced $0.40)

Adult: Breakfast: $2.60      Lunch: $4.70

Semester Milk - Preschool $23.80    Kindergarten $31.50

2nd Breakfast or Lunch is charged at an adult rate.

Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) partners with schools to provide services for individuals who experience a disability.  Your child may be eligible for IVRS services during high school, even if they are not eligible for special education services.  For more information on services available through IVRS, contact the IVRS Sioux City Area Office at  (712) 255-8871.  If you would like IVRS to have access to your child’s educational records to assist with assessing their eligibility for IVRS services, please contact Westwood CSD about the necessary consent forms.

 

IMMUNIZATION AND HEALTH INFORMATION

PRESCHOOL
KINDERGARTEN
3RD GRADE
7TH GRADE

Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccination Requirement: Beginning the 2013-2014 school year and thereafter, students entering 7th grade and above if born on or after September 15, 2000, shall have a one-time dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.

Meningococcal Secondary School Vaccination Requirement: Beginning the 2017-2018 school year and thereafter, Students entering 7th grade born on or after September 15, 2004 shall have one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (A,C,W,Y). There is no provisional period to implement this requirement.

9TH GRADE
12TH GRADE

Meningococcal Secondary School Vaccination Requirement: Beginning the 2017-2018 school year and thereafter, students entering 12th grade born on or after September 15, 1999 shall have two doses of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (A,C,W,Y); or 1 dose if one dose was previously received when the student was sixteen years of age or older. There is no provisional period to implement this requirement if the student has received no meningococcal conjugate vaccine.
